My Journey Through Cub Scouts And Boy Scouts

Ever since I was a little kid, I have always wanted to help others. When they were confused on something or needed help with anything, I have always tried my hardest to help them the best I can. I still help anyone with the best of my ability whenever help is needed. There were many cases in high school, middle school, and even elementary school where whenever one person was bullying another person, I would always stand up for the person getting bullied. If someone needed help with homework or anything in their lives, I would help them with the best of my ability. Now, I want to help people not only in my school or church, but also in the community. Reflecting back on my journey through Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, I find that it is very

During – and especially after – college, I hope to bring more to the community. I want to teach children and teenagers how to play instruments and music through lessons or even conducting a band or orchestra. I want to lead and influence others into becoming the best musician they can be. I would like to give percussion lessons in the community to children, teenagers, and even adults so they too can strive for excellence and give back to the community. Directing various bands, orchestras, or ensembles in schools or other facilities are another way I can give back to the community through music. Currently, in many schools, the arts – more specifically the music programs – are the first programs to get cut. One example of these cuts from the music programs is the band at Hickory High School – the school I currently am enrolled at. The Hickory High School band does not receive any funding from the school or the district; the band has to fundraise all of its money. Many band members, including myself, see that this band is in need for money to pay for instruments and music, instrument repairs, and just basic expenses. This is why I chose for my Boy Scout Eagle Project to give back

I want to perform in many ensembles while I am in college and after I graduate college. I love playing percussion and expressing myself through the percussion instruments, so being an active member in many ensembles and orchestras in the community will not only be something I will love to do, but also be something that is beneficial for the community. If I become a music director or teacher after I graduate, I want to compose music on the side so that ensemble, band, or orchestra can perform the music I create. The reason for wanting to be a music composer is so the music I create can influence other people in the community and call others into pursuing music or anything else they desire. I strive to compose film scores for movies further into my career so my music does not only influence those in the community, but so my music can also influence people regionally and even globally. I want to compose music that can touch the hearts of people all around the world. Movie soundtracks have influenced me to want to become a movie soundtrack composer, and I hope that my soundtracks can inspire other people to do the same. I not only want the music I compose to inspire and influence people, but I also want the music I teach and perform to influence and inspire people all around the globe. I aspire to serve
