One of interest during elementary school was music, not knowing that it was going to become a talent. In the fourth grade I began to play the recorder, where I found my interest in music, before this time I had no idea on how to play instrument. No one from my family had ever had any experience on playing an instrument or any musical talent. From that point on I had to learn by myself. When entering middle school, I wanted to join the band to learn more about music and try a new instrument. In sixth grade I picked up the clarinet, I was truly excited to keep studying music with an actual music teacher. My music teacher, Mrs.Bollard, had a huge impact towards my music world because she became my biggest inspiration to continue learning music. Beside of just being part of the bands in my school I went out to audition for two honor bands.The first honor band I auditioned for was for the high school students of the Coachella Valley, which I was accepted into. For this honor band we had a guest conductor by the name of Dr. Allan McMurray. The second honor band I auditioned for was being held in Anaheim, during the Festival of Gold, I was also accepted into this honor band too, with the guest conductor Peter Boonshaft. I believe that my transition of interest in music became a talent when I audition for these two honor bands. These two honor band had two very special conductors where I truly learned a lot more about music. After these two great experience I continued to practice my talent because I wanted to continue becoming a better player. Also in my freshman year, our school marching band won first place in the California Band State
