College one of the greatest and one of the most important decision of a person’s life. A college decides the what a person studies, the friends that a person will make, and most importantly what a person will do his/her entire life. I chose to come to the New Jersey Institute of Technology to study Computer Science. It has been few weeks since I started college and it has been an experience that I have never felt before. I meet dozens of new people, made many friends, and learned many things from different people. I learned how to study for each subject. Each subject has offers great challenges and I am learning to overcome the difficulties one at a time. In humanities, I have trouble understanding the professor: what is the purpose of teaching the lessons that he is teaching, and what exactly is he trying to ask for each assignment. That is the greatest trouble for me academically. Other classes which include Mathematics, Physics, Physics Lab, and Computer Science are going great and I am having minimal trouble in them. For the educational plan, I do not believe that there is any change that needs to be made yet. However, I am planning to add a second major to my studies and do Finance at NJIT and Rutgers Newark, which would require for me to modify my current educational plan. To finalize the decision, I still need to confer with my academic advisor, and also I am in talks with a finance major at Rutgers to learn more about their coursework. I have been involved with some type of computer coursework since middle school. In my middle school, we had an iPad club where we would play with iPad and applications within the iPad. Come into high school, there were many club and great portion of them were STEM related. I was part of the Robotics club. The club made me realize the importance of STEM in the real world. I was part of the mechanical aspect of the club which involved making the skeleton of a robot. I really like it and would have pursued a major in mechanical engineering until I met with coding. I took a course of C++ and it opened up a world of opportunity to me about computer science. From there on, I continued to take computer science classes rest of my high school and I learned a lot. My decision to come to NJIT was because of the great computer science program that it offers and I would love to learn more about the field in the years to
