I’ve been chosen to defend a scientist that has been accused of heresy, Nicolaus Copernicus. Nicolaus Copernicus is a scientist who made the discovery that the sun is the center of our universe, not the Earth in the center of our universe, as followers of Jesus. I believe Nicolaus Copernicus should be let out of prison, even though the Church believes that the Earth is the center of our universe he made a discovery and proved that it wasn’t a false discovery. Nicolaus Copernicus developed a model of our universe by making the Copernicus Heliocentrism, which was a model of our universe and how it works.
The Copernicus Heliocentrism helped Nicolaus Copernicus understand our universe more clearly. If he hadn’t developed the Copernicus Heliocentrism we would never of found out that the sun is the center of the universe. He didn’t just use the Heliocentrism to help him understand the universe more clearly he also used a book called “The Copernicus Planisphere” published by Andreas Cellarius in, 1661. This book helped him understand the universe and showed him ways he could figure out how our universe works.
