Nikola Tesla was an interesting man, to say the least. There is a very controversial topic of on how Tesla thought. Many say that he was just a genius that knew how to put parts together in the right way, others say that he had visions given to him by God to help mankind.
Let’s start from the beginning. He was born in Gospic (now in Croatia) to a Serbian family of Orthodox priest, Milutin Tesla and Georgina Tesla. When Tesla was seven his brother, Daniel, was killed in a riding accident, the loss unsettled Tesla, who then reported to see visions. This was the first sign of a lifelong mental illness.
When we jump ahead to 1870-to-1873, we find that Tesla attended a technical school in Karlovac. Rakovac was the name of the technical school which, …show more content…

George was the first inventor to launch the AC power system near Boston and was also Edison’s major rival in “Battle of the Currents.” Tesla was hired by George, who also helped licence the patents for Tesla’s AC motor. In 1889 Thomas Edison had planned for a New York murderer to be killed in an AC-powered electric chair to show the dangers of the Westinghouse standard. Westinghouse had feared for his company and begged Tesla to relieve him of the royalties that they had agreed upon. Tesla tore up the royalty contract giving up millions in royalties that he was owed and later billions that would come up in the future.

In 1899, Tesla’s work with electricity flipped a switch in his mind. Before the 20th century, he invented a powerful coil, later known as the “Tesla Coil(s),” that was able to create high voltages and frequencies, allowing new forms of light, such as neon and fluorescent, along with X-rays. He also soon discovered that the coils were able to send and receive radio signals. Tesla quickly filed for patents two years before Guglielmo Marconi and also piloted a radio-controlled boat in a pool at the Madison Square Garden.
Financier, John Pierpont Morgan or J.P. Morgan, helped Tesla by thoroughly backing him while also helping him by building a global communications network in the center of a giant tower in Wardenclyffe, on Long Island, New York. …show more content…

They dealt with protecting the Soviets from enemy aggression by building a wall next to a new weapon. Tesla took the offer and signed, he had a deadline of four months to submit his project with blueprints. The invention that he was making for them was called a “Peace Ray” by him and the Soviets, to everyone else they called it a “Death Ray,” the people had a good reason to call it that.
Tesla had openly said what it could do, it could generate a potential 50 million volts of electricity, fire a beam of concentrated particles, much like a laser, at a distance of at least 150 Kilometers, with a max velocity of at least 50 kilometers per second, as well as erasing the person on the other end from existence. Sadly the project the project did not get finished, but Tesla received $25,000 from the Soviets.

On January 7, 1943, Tesla had died in his room. He had an apartment on the 33rd floor of the New Yorker Hotel, where he spent the last nine years of his life. On January 10th, a broadcast by live radio was holding a memorial service. Croatian violinist Zlatko Balokovic and the Sloven choir performed “Tamo daleko” (Far Away), a Serbian patriotic song, at the
