Nikola Tesla is dubbed by many as the father of electricity. Tesla was an extreme influence to the research of technology and he started what may have been the greatest technological boom in history. Throughout his life he had been honored with many awards such as the Edison award. Tesla was born in 1856 in Yugoslavia. His father was an orthodox priest, and his mother took care of him and the house. She did not attend school and was therefore not properly educated, but she was still highly intelligent. Tesla was greatly inspired by his mother. She had invented multiple things to help her around the house.
