She invented and constructed all kinds of tools and devices...” He avenged his mother's lost potential by going into the field of science and invention himself, and with the brilliance of his inventions and the courage to pursue them, his invention of the tesla coil, and his pioneering of Alternating current, and work in the field of …show more content…

He formed his own Corporation in competition to Edison’s company, and by 1891, tesla had procured both his U.S citizenship and his first patent, A device of his own invention named the Tesla coil. The Tesla coil by inductive and capacitive coupling using spark-excited radio frequency resonant transformers. Tesla invested much of his career in the concept, and the ability of achieving wireless power. The design was simple, but it’s intention great. He theorized that the use of a few coils spread across the globe would be able to transmit electrical energy through the earth; wherever a coil ran low on power, it could use a receiving coil to convert the power into a useful form. In order to harness the energy, he constructed the Tesla Tower, a 185-feet in height with a 65-foot copper dome transmitter on the top; its lofty promise was to transmit free, unlimited wireless electricity all over the world.
