Nikola Tesla was born on the 10th of July 1856, in Smilijan, Croatia, and passed on the 7th of January 1943, in the Wyndham, New Yorker Hotel (Tesla University, 2009). Tesla had 1 older brother named Dane and 3 younger sisters named Milka, Angelina, and Marcia (Business Inside, 2007). Unfortunately, Tesla’s brother Dane passed through a horse accident in 1863. (Tesla University, 2009). Tesla’s parents Milutin Tesla and Đuka Tesla. His next invention had major setback with huge problems along the road. In 1943, Tesla invented the Radio. In his time developing the radio, The Supreme Court overturned Marconi’s patent in 1943, when it was proven that Tesla invented the radio 8 years previous to Marconi (Activistpost.com, 2012).

Tesla provide us with useful inventions, like X-Rays and Lasers. Which have helped with surgeries. Without Tesla’s positive impact on society, we wouldn’t be able to have as much major equipment including X-Rays, Lasers in hospitals, to see if we have a broken bone to a serious eye surgery. Also, without Tesla discovering wireless communication, we wouldn’t of adapted calling and texting into phones, radios and all other technologies. To this day, Tesla has been awarded many awards.
