In the growing of health care setting around the world the definition of competence is still open to debate as for some it is an objective concept that can be measured, but for many others it is merely related to performance of skills. However, nursing competence is heavily influenced by managerial competence in order to identify the concept of competence. The competence literature in nursing has discussed the important of several competencies to serve as competent nurses at the workplace.
