There are many positions that I can uphold in the field of Registered Nursing such as, Travel Nurse, labor and delivery, surgical nurse, and the list can go on. To hold a position as a Nurse one must have many personal and professional traits. Some of my professional traits that I have would I am well organized, hardworking, and a team player; which I feel all of those characteristics should be held by a nurse. Some personal traits of mine would be that I am loving, caring, strong willed, people person, and outgoing. All of the traits that I listed personal and professional will impress my future employers.
Strengths and Weaknesses My three major strengths are medication administration, communication with patients, and asking questions when I do not fully understand something. I feel like throughout my preceptorship these have grown stronger, and have helped me to be successful. My three major weaknesses that I have been focusing on throughout my residency are communicating with physicians, completing skills I am unfamiliar with, and improving my confidence. I would say that these have improved quite significantly, but I still have a ways to go.
Introduction: As a first year student I have very specific goals in mind that I hope to achieve through my work in college. My main hopes for the future are that I pass all of my exams in the coming years, graduate and receive my honours degree in general nursing, become a registered nurse and finally get a job as a nurse. It is having compassion for people and their health and being a humanitarian, making sure they receive the best care possible.
