Today one of america’s problems has to do with their weight. Obesity is one of the many causes of deaths in America. Who is to blame, you ask. I believe consumers are to blame for America’s weight problems.

Fast food restaurants in America serve 50 million customers per day, the average American spends an estimated $1,200 on fast food each year. Many ages are consuming fast food, even young children. On any given day, 34 percent of children between ages 2 and 19 consume fast food. This could be unhealthy if they do it so often. There are guidelines to eating healthy. The average human should consume at least 2,000 calories each day.

They believe since producers are the ones who make the food they consume, that they are instantly responsible. Although producers do make the food they are sure not responsible for obesity. Consumers do have a choice on eating or avoiding the food. They can simply not eat the fast food and eat healthier food but instead they go for the fast food which they believe is more tastier. Most fast food restaurants have nutrients posted somewhere in their restaurants, the nutrient guides show how much fat grams and or fat grams are in each meal us consumers consume.Which means they shouldn’t have to constantly be telling us what we are eating, we should be more responsible and find out ourselves by looking at the nutrients ourselves. They can do stuff to their food for it to have less fat grams, they can sale healthier food choices. Studies also show that ingredients in some of the fast food items may cause diseases, which is really dangerous, especially for young children. They can also get more nutrients signs and papers and place them more around the restaurant where customers can see and examine them so they have a better idea of knowing what they are eating. This will make consumers more aware of what they consume which causes them to have a lower chance of becoming obese and unhealthy. Something producers such as mostly all fast food restaurants can stop doing is using advertisements to manipulate their customers. They make their meals more appealing and mouth watering in advertisements rather than in person. They also uses toys and characters to manipulate young clueless children into having their parent or guardian buy their
