A cognitive approach of learning-Observational Learning is described as looking at the behaviour of others and learning from them. While observing these behaviours we also learn the repercussion's associated with them such as the rewards and punishments. As we learn daily we often do not notice that we are in a do as we see society. Some behaviour's such as being polite or showing respect to people and their property is learned by way of observation. Adults play a major role in the conditioning and the development of their character.

I would clean and ask them to clean and it hardly ever fruited a positive response .So I experimented with observational learning. On Saturdays I would clean my room and fold laundry all while complaining how hard it is. When I am finished with my room I sit and have an ice cream as payment for my hard work and boast of how proud of myself I am. The kids would ask if they can have ice cream and I would let them know that it is my reward for my hard work. A few hours later both kids started tidying their room when they were finished I told them how proud of them I was and they were both rewarded ice cream. On the following Saturday while cleaning my room again I noticed that both girls were actively cleaning their room as well. When we were finished our reward was a trip to the park. It is now a regular habit for us to all be cleaning and be rewarded after. One Saturday I didn't clean my room but they did and they were rewarded and expected me to have the reward as well and I explained to them that is not how it works. Rewards are only giving when the chore is completed. My punishment for not cleaning was me not receiving anything. They understood and I have had no problems with room cleaning .They both work together and get the job done even though the rewards have gotten smaller. The plan worked very
