From an early age I was drawn to the design and development of my surroundings, when it came to going to college Mechanical Engineering was an obvious choice for me. However, entering college I faced many obstacles in which circumstances changed my lifestyle from a patriarchal household, with a sole financial provider to a matriarchal household, ultimately pushing me out of my intended 4-year university and into a community college with a job.
