Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck is a story set during the great depression. This bittersweet novel teaches the importance of friendship and sacrifices you have to take for each other. George and Lennie were two best friends with a big dream. Although that dream was very difficult, they worked very hard on the ranch so\ they could make their dream a reality. When working on the ranch Lennie was talking to Curley's wife. During the conversation she wanted Lennie to touch her hair but once Lennie touched her hair he wouldn’t let go. Curley's wife freaked out and that's when Lennie shaked her and accidentally broke her neck and killed her. Lennie ran away because he didn’t know what to do.
