On the 25th of October, 1881 Pablo Picasso was born in Spain. Picasso was one of the most iconic artists in his period, which was the 20th century. Picasso was talented in so many different ways, he did paintings mainly, sculptors, as well as printmaking. As an artist, he was the co-creator of the entire Cubism along with Georges Braque. He also invented collage art style and made major participation in Surrealism and Symbolism.
Art experts typically break Pablo Picasso's career into different periods, the first is referred to as his “Blue Period” which was from 1901 to 1904, the period was named after the color that was heavily used in nearly all of his paintings over these years. Picasso opened his very own studio in Paris after moving there at the end of the 20th century. The suicide of Carlos Casagemas, which was Picasso’s dear friend, made Pablo lonely and depressed therefor he painted scenes of agony, isolation, and poverty, almost entirely in monochromatic shades of blue and blue-green. “Blue Nude”, “The Old Guitarist”, and “La Vie” were the most known paintings from the Blue Period all of which were finished in 1903.
