During my college career, professors have encouraged me to get out of my comfort zone, and branch out to new and eccentric experiences. As a young Asian American girl growing up in New York City, I am often introduced to burst of many different cultures and customs that have always left me yearning to travel and learn. I believe taking part in the Thomas Ahrens International Study Program to Paris is a first-class ticket to truly experience some of the finest examples of luxurious lifestyle, and world class service that would greatly serve me in my path to becoming a versatile, cultured and experienced Hospitality Management student. Injecting myself into an entirely different lifestyle, language, and hopefully ditching my MTA Subway card for a gondola trip or two. One of my goals with this is to come back from Paris a well-rounded and independent adult. Finally taking off the training wheels from being so reliant on my parents and truly discovering what it means to tackle these tasks head on. I believe that my fearlessness is a valuable quality I can responsibly bring to the group. I would not take for granted of what an incredible and rare experience, and would constantly push my fellow classmates to do our very best and enjoy each and every opportunity. When things seem impossible, I will help to rally the morale of my colleagues to rise and conquer whatever Paris has to offer.
