1.1 The key features of effective partnership working: • Communication You must have a good level of communication between the different partnerships, it is so easy for miss-communication to happen between the different organisations. Positive communication means that results happen quicker, if there is poor communication then results will reduce or it could mean that outcomes are not met, meaning in the service user becoming dissatisfied with the service they are being provided. Partnership working also helps to build a positive moral, if I know my colleagues are working with me in achieving the same goal it makes my life easier as I know I have a good team with me through the process. Partnership working aids in a good communication network between each other which benefits the service users as means all their needs are being met. Partnership working with colleagues means that if I for what ever reason do not have time to do a task, that I can ask my colleague to pick it up and complete it instead and I will reciprocate the same back. The same can be said in setting a good example and being a positive role model, it is no good in me asking a member of staff to do something that I would not be willing to do myself. Or discipling a member of staff for poor performance and then doing it myself or letting someone else get away with the same poor performance. Active listening with colleagues shows that I value their opinion and that I am engaged in what they have to say. My role as a team leader is to lead the team, I need to give clear instructions of what the care staff need to do to ensure they are fulfilling their role effectively. My role is to show and offer support when needed, this can be in the form of taking over in an emergency situation, give advice and giving knowledge when needed.
