So far, our main characters are Percy Jackson, Sally Jackson, Chiron, also known as Mr. Brunner, Annabeth Chase, and Grover. To start off, Percy Jackson is a troubled 12 year old with ADHD and dyslexia. He is attending a boarding school called Yancy Academy.

Percy does not believe he is ordinary which scares him because he thinks other people don't either but he fights through it. He now goes to half blood camp with other non ordinary people he wants to be normal but he was born with a god being his father so he got half of his father's power and he is a son of one of the most powerful gods. That god is poseidon the god of water it self.

An interesting character in the novel was Grover Underwood. Grover is an interesting character because he is Percy’s protector, he is hard-working, and he is thoughtful. Grover –who is Percy’s best friend and protector– is an important character in the book.
Percy goes from this normal kid who faces problems in high school to a hero. As he is on his journey he starts to learn and discover new things which would ultimately change him from what he was before. In the beginning his mom gets captured when Percy and Grover who was making their way to Camp Halfblood for people who are the offsprings of mythical Greek Gods. Percy later finds out that he is the son of Poseidon and in order to get his mother back he must go on a journey to the underworld to give Hades a lightning bolt. Later he finds that he has to give the lightning bolt to Zeus to save the world and Olympus.
In the book, Percy, who was 12 at the time, fights a minotaur, saves his mother from the underworld, and even confronts the Gods of Olympus about their poor decisions. To start in chronological order, near the beginning of the book, Percy and his mother are attacked by a minotaur and Percy defeats the minotaur to attempt to save his mother. At this point in the story, Percy has nothing with him. No powers, no tools, no idea that he was the son of Poseidon, yet he successfully killed the minotaur, something that not many half-bloods-those who are born half human half Olympian-can do. After that, Percy must venture into the underworld and confront Hades because the minotaur sent Percy’s mom to the underworld.

Percy Jackson is more of a classical hero he is really just a normal person except the he has one big power which is the fact that he is a demigod. For every demigod the big power that they have could be different for example Percy in the film is the son of Poseidon which mainly gives him the powers of water, but in the story of Perseus he is the son of Zeus his powers would be in the area of lightning and things close to that. Perseus’s hero type would be the same but in that story he get a lot of help from the gods instead of using his powers. But even if he didn’t use his powers that would still make him a classical hero with his courage. Also in the normal world Percy is just a normal student in high school.

In this book, Percy Jackson goes up against a mission to spare his dearest Camp Half Blood. Percy Jackson is seen nearing the finish of his seventh grade year and even though amped up for being finished with the school, and going to Camp Half Blood for the late spring, Percy is worried about a nightmare dream he has had in regards to his companion Grover. Percy doesn't know what the fantasy has implied but rather at last chooses he needs to concentrate on school. I saw myself reflected in its words, perhaps not as a daughter of a Greek god, but as a person who faced a lot of challenges in her life.
Going from a troubled kid in middle school to a full time hero who saved the world is a lot to handle. Percy, the main character in the story Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief. Life changes by a series of events. Percy’s feelings went from a troubled, different, and miserable kid to a brave, skilled hero as well as a demigod. Percy Jackson’s feelings throughout the beginning of the story are a bit down.
The most interesting thing I know about Percy jackson is that he is a son of Poseidon and he is dating a daughter of Athena which would spark some disagreement among the Gods. The advice I would give Percy is it 's not hopeless so don 't give up. I like Percy as the main character controls the water and how he lacks any discipline. The conflict of the story is that Gia is waking and she is summoning the giants born to apos the Gods of Olympus and it 's up to him and his friends to save the world. To accomplish this they need to brave the eternal pit of Tartarus.
