I sat down at laid out all my homework and rolled my shoulder for the relief of droping of my 10 pound bag on the old creaky chair. Then I smiled familiar click, click, click of her much too long nails. “Gracie Girl!” I cowed in my baby voice I reserved only for Gracie. She Rolled over to her belly and squeaking her sloppier rope. Then I heard the sracpe of her nails on the wood door. I opened it up a crack and she wacked it open with her big fluffy paw. She sprinted to the tall holly trees scaring off all of the birdies. I was only 5 mins into my homework when I her a harsh knocking at my door. I casual walked over to see how it was. When I opened the door a was suspired to see my neighbor, Sarah at my door. “Um…hi …your dog escaped.” She said sheepishly “WHAT!” I ran outside and saw Gracie’s tail whip by. There way harsh frantic yelling coming from outside. Oh no! No, no, no, NO! And, just as I had predicted Gracie was running around like a wild horse. With that I ran down stairs and flow out the door. She just wanted to play. This was a game to her. To her we were playing a friendly game of tag. To her the cars where an interesting new animal to be discovery and to her the busy street a couple blocks away was a carnival. If I run to her she’ll think I am chasing her and want to run more. Maybe even run around the block. She ran any way. By now all of the children in my block were gathered around ready to tackle. The littlest boy on our block waddled over to me. “Sophie, Sophie…um…your dog is…” I didn’t have the time to wait for him to finish. “Hey Danny I got to go, see you later.”
