Additionally, having great attendance has been known to be linked to higher grades. Once you are in the class, you are able to engage and pay attention to the lesson which will help you out when it comes to
Chapter Eleven Upperclassman. It is what every high schooler looks forward to being. Being an upperclassman came with many new parts of school that I did not get to experience before. Prom, donkey basketball, and being one of the older kids were only a few of the ways that made junior year the best. Having the opportunity to experience these milestones with my friends kept the year filled with never ending laughter and joy.
Although my classes just began, this advice has me positive that I will succeed in my classes as I have already incorporated them into my schoolwork. In addition, I was given ample instruction on
I am doing well in some classes not all the classes. I think that i am doing well in those classes because i am doing my work ad i am turning in everything. I will continue to do well in this classes by me doing what I am doing right now in order for me to keep my grades the same as i have them right now. I need to improve in English because i have an F. I also need to improve in Algebra because i have a D. I think that i am not doing well in those classes because i am not showing up in time and i am not doing my work anymore. In my opinion i think that i am messing up in all the classes because i haven't been doing my work for none of the classes, i also haven't been showing up lately.
So far I think my classes are at it's greatest, all of my grades are B's or higher except for Cultural Geography. I think I'm doing well in my classes, at the moment I'm only failing one class and so that leaves me having to work a lot harder in that particular class. The reason why I think I'm doing well in those classes is because they're not as hard as Cultural Geography is, I tend to work at my best when I'm either listening to my favorite music or when everything is dead silent. If I want to continue doing great in those classes I have to make no mistakes and stay on task at all times. The Habit of Heart and Mind are pretty much just Confidence.
The classes I am doing well in are all but I know I can do better. Like I have A's that are minus or simply an A but it all sum up to something that I don't like at all. That is averaging my grade less than a 4.0 that I'm not quite used to getting.
My Applied Learning Experience engaged me in real world classroom situations that required me to put into action the knowledge and skills developed through academic coursework. In addition, these experiences helped me connect academic learning to the real world, facilitating the ability to obtain and enhance the knowledge and skills required to be a teacher. Furthermore, this practice experience gave me opportunity to incorporate and apply teaching strategies taught in the university classroom to a real world classroom setting. Last of all, my ALE provided insight into the complexities of teaching children of low economic
I am probably the six most complex mind in the class squeeze into a small frame that requires lots of energy. Depending on the breakfast I have recently eaten or missed out on I will most likely be an interesting asset to the class. I have a bit of OCD when it comes to learning things. I am pretty shy for the most part.
In my life, I have not faced many obstacles. I have not been disowned from my family, like Luma, or experienced war and famine, like the Fugees. I have one obstacle, that could be a considered an obstacle, and it is a mental one. When I was a child and now, I have always had the idea in my head that anything less than an A is bad. Anything less than an A would make me sad, make me burst into tears, be really anxious, or stressed.
Do you know what you 're best way of learning is?There are many learning styles. My dominant learning style is logical-mathematical and it will affect my education in many ways. After taking the learning style assessment I learned I 'm a Logical-Mathematical person. One reason I 'm a mathematical person is I like playing dominoes, chess, checkers, and Monopoly.
The classes I am doing well in are Advisory and Learning lab because I pay attention and I follow the rules that are given. I am doing well in English I guess because I follow the rules and get my work done on time. In order to continue doing this I just have to focus on the teacher and what the teacher is teaching us also get all of my work done. I am using the habit of doing my work and turning it in on time so I won't get a bad grade and hopefully I don't so I will try my best to continue this in order to pass the semester or quarter with good grades. The classes I need to do better in are Biology, Algebra 1, Cultural Geography because these classes are important and i need to catch up so that my grades won't go down.
In just one year at DHS, I have faced challenges throughout my accomplishments and successes. In the physics classroom, I have made a change from being a middle school student to having more knowledge, thinking critically, being a better test taker, and increasing my love for science. I have grown as a student in the classroom because of Friday quizzes. I have changed in class because I have found one of my academic interests and passions. I counter weaknesses on my way to successes in physics.
Being elected Vice President at the end of my freshman year I never thought that I would end up in the position I find myself in today, Class President during my senior year. Although not being in the top position, I started to plan out my year as to what I would do. That tuned out to plan out my year each year after that. I would soon be faced with problems that would be bigger than any other I had solved. Coming from a small school to a energetic inner city school located in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles changed who I was.
There was no doubt in my mind that I tried my hardest in the classes; I just did not have as much faith in myself when it came to the test day. In AP U.S. History, I did my homework religiously every weekend on Sunday afternoons by delving into each chapter as much as possible and enjoying what I was reading. For AP Language and Composition by creating a word wall in my room in order to improve my vocabulary. All the weekends spent doing homework and more for these classes paid off in a way I never would have imagined. I finally was able to believe my hard work towards achieving a goal could actually be rewarded.
In each of my classroom arrangements, I have created enough room for my students and myself to comfortably be able to move freely through the classroom. Allowing me to attend to my students needs as quickly as possible. I have also created enough space for my students to wiggle and move to help them refocus and become re-engaged and sustain their attention towards my lesson plan. “Movement increases oxygen and blood flow, enhancing alertness and helping students keep bodies and minds engaged the task at hand. That engagement helps reduce off-task behavior, which makes classroom management easier” (Responsive classroom, 2014).
