Personal Narrative: My Experience At Brevard College

The best part of this semester has been meeting new friends and people that aren’t mean and talk about you behind your back. Meeting mature individuals has defiantly made my experience here at Brevard College a positive on but I love how willing to help the professors are because I don’t dread going to class. It may not be my strongest subject but if you go talk to the teachers they are more than will to help out.
The low point of being at school for me like many incoming freshman is not being close to home. I get home sick a lot and call my parents all of the time because at the end of the day they are my best friends and it is just hard to be away for so long. I learned how to become self-sufficient and go talk to teachers because they won’t bite they are more than willing to help. Also I have always been good a suppressing certain emotions until I was in a place that I could constructively let out my emotions but in being here and dealing with certain people I have learned even more how to do that and not let what certain people say to effect me.
I am most proud of the fact that I will go to professors’ office hours and talk to them if I am struggling because before college I was so shy I would never have dreamed to do something like that. Also I am proud that I was able to find friends because I am a shy person and I shockingly enough out myself out there and it ended up paying off with really amazing friends!
For my future time at Brevard College I want to expand the amount of friends and I think the best way to do that would be to join clubs. Also, in this upcoming semester I want to continue to go to more of my professors’ office hours more often because I feel like when I get to know a professor a little bit more it makes me more comfortable in class to say
