Personal Narrative: My Road Trip To Southern California

This past summer, my family took a road trip to Southern California to visit family and friends. While we were there I was able to hear stories of when I was younger, as well as a few about my parents. California was in the middle of a large drought, which made the air excruciatingly hot, so we visited the beach to cool off. I walked out onto the very edge of the wave break, the waves pounding against the rocks and spraying me with their salty drops. As I looked towards the horizon, I was reminded of how amazing God 's creation truly is.

What kind of impact will my actions and my words have on the world? Am I a hurricane, wreaking havoc with my words and actions? Am I a thunderstorm, helping people grow, but sometimes erupting in anger with my voice and tearing people down? Or am I a gentle rain at the start of spring, using my words, gifts, actions, and talents to help make the world more beautiful?

So many times, we become so focused on obtaining more material objects in life so people will believe we are special that we lose sight of the reason we are on earth. As Christians, it is our job to reach this world and live our lives in a way that people will see Christ through us. There are over 2.2 billion Christians in the world. If we were all to unite as one and run towards a common goal, imagine the impact we would make. The best news is, it only takes one person to make a change.

Being able to see God 's might and power challenged me, and I in turn want to challenge you. What kind of storm are you? Are you a hurricane or thunderstorm? Or are you a gentle spring rainstorm? What mark will you make on the world? Don 't be what everyone else is. Be the storm God is calling you to be. How will the world remember
