Over the past few months that I have spent at The Fountains at Rivervue, an assisted living facility, I have learned many vital life skills and gained a new perspective on my role within my community. My volunteering experience has been proven to be extremely rewarding, and has allowed me to interact with a part of my community that I had never encountered on a personal level before. Albeit nervous at first, I have now become more comfortable with the residents and look forward to conversing with them. Although I have completed all of my service hours, I am still involved at The Fountains at Rivervue and look forward to continuing to volunteer and socialize with its residents in the future.
