Personal Narrative: The Beach

The sound of crashing waves against the shore caused me to wake up, my vision was very blurry. I looked around and saw seagulls soaring through the sky, fish popping in and out of the water, and felt a couple of raindrops throughout the sky. I said to myself “ is this the beach.”(24.) I didn’t know where I was. However, I had a brief memory of what happened but I wasn’t sure.(16.) I turned around and saw smoke in the sky. I followed the smoke to see a fire dying down. I hurried over to keep it alive, the rain was killing it. I soon put some branches and leaves over it so it wouldn’t go out. I picked up a log by a nearby palm tree and sat down on it. I turned around to see a man all beaten up covered in raggedy clothes, teeth knocked out. I could tell he had been here for a long time. He was probably in his mid 40’s, but he was in very poor condition. I walked over to the man cautiously, since I didn't know him. He screamed at me, “get way”, I was frightened by how loud he told me off. I slowly backed up to see the man stand up. He looked at me devilishly almost like he assumed I was going to hurt him in some way, I’m only a 14 year old I thought to myself. After awhile he started walking away from me. I soon followed him, he noticed me so I thought I might introduce myself. I said “Hi, my name is Rhett.” He looked at me and said “ My name is John.” I asked him how long he had been here. I was scared as we were walking through this cave. I heard a voice that sent a very unpleasant chill through my body. I said, “ did you hear that.” John said “no” in a suspicious way.(1.) He thought I was insane until I was for sure I heard something, I looked back and didn’t see him. He was gone. I said, “John”. He didn’t respond, I just felt my conscience telling me to leave. I sprinted out of the cave as fast as I could. I had never run so fast before, my adrenaline was pumping so much. I made it out of the cave safe and sound, at least that’s what I thought. I turned around to see where I was going and saw John. His eyes were bloodshot, looking at me so creepily. John started sprinting at me. Quickly, I ran the opposite way looking for something that I could use to scare him off with.(4.) Then he just fell down, I went over to him and baaam!!!!!!!!!! It was just the Thunder.
