Leadership is an art or a process with interpersonal skills, where an individual influences a group of individuals to achieve a common goal. People often think leadership in terms of personality characteristics, usually something they call charisma. Not everyone will have great charisma which leads us to the wrong notion that only few people can provide leadership. Everyone can be a leader, Leadership is a set of skills and abilities, and any skill can be strengthened, groomed and enhanced if we have the motivation and desire. Leadership to me is the realization of having the ability which can influence ideas, judgements and action of others so that they can accomplish sets of existent goals and responsibilities. “A leadership philosophy is the way we see ourselves as leaders”. Our rationalities are impacted by outer and inside strengths. Leadership philosophies can change as you develop to comprehend yourself inside the connection of leading. I understand that leadership assume critical part to accomplish required deliverables in projects. As a good leader in a project environment, I will ensure that all members are aware of their individual roles in the project. Will motivate the team work and develop a sense of trust among others. I will set realistic expectation in place for better team performance.
Taking about management, Management quality is important, but it’s not sufficient in today’s era. Managers are people who do things right and leader are people who do the right thing. Conflicts, confusion and underperformance are the three most naturally occurring things to happen in an organization, and leadership is required to overcome all these aspects. In order to develop proper philosophy of leadership, I will focus on every parts of management competencies.
