At the University of Colorado in Boulder, there are many opportunities for each student. While attending a bigger school can have its difficulties, there are many ways that students can succeed. Because everyone learns differently, some ways of teaching are more effective than others. Furthermore, students can improve learning a subject from teachers and peers. I believe that CU Boulder will provide me with the right skills and knowledge to effectively pursue my future career. The importance of diverse learning communities has led me to believe that everybody learns differently. Some students use flashcards, some students use visual aides, and some learn just from bouncing on a ball and doing an activity. Nonetheless, they are all learning the same material. First, they always benefit a variety of people as discussed previously. Secondly, there are always new ways to understand a subject. Whether it is a hands-on experience in science class or a group project in English class, students benefit from wide-ranging learning environments. Finally, it helps to build relationships with peers and teachers. In my experience, having teachers who care about a student and wants to help them succeed leads to better grades. The peers also have a great impact on how well you do in school. Fellow classmates are able to explain what they learned to others in a new perspective. I believe the University of Colorado at Boulder will help me achieve my academic and professional goals. Both academic and nonacademic community students at CU help to create the perfect place to learn. Peers play an important role in achieving goals by pushing you to work hard. Also, the university will encourage me to stay on top of my work, so that I can graduate on time.
