“We must let go of the life we have planned, so as to accept the one that is waiting for us.” - Joseph Campbell. Throughout the 2016-2017 school year I have grown both academically and personally. I was able to challenge myself with classes I never thought I would be taking and successfully learn the lesson given. I can now say I took certain classes, such as AP Chemistry, AP U.S History and AP English Language and was able to acquire new knowledge on these classes. Personally during this year I have gained confidence in myself and I am now able to do certain tasks, such as speaking in front of groups of people that I would usually be too afraid of doing. Also, each new class will be a challenge, but my advice is to learn from every class and use those new skills to apply it to your knowledge to prepare for college and future jobs. Some advice that I want myself to use for next year is to not stress about the future, stay calm and be prepared for whatever life prepares to hit you with because in the end all your hard work will pay off and you'll realize the success you've achieved. What I am anticipating for next year are new challenges. I am ready to see what new obstacles I need to overcome and what new lessons about school or life that I will learn from teachers and classmates. What I am most apprehensive about is leaving high school and the people I am now comfortable around and use to seeing everyday. Change is my greatest fear, I have always been afraid of going out of my comfort zone especially if it is a big change, like leaving high school. I would like my classmates to remember me as a person they had a great time with in high school and remember me as someone that made their high school experience memorable. I want my classmates to remember me as their friend. I want my teachers to remember me as a hardworking student who was both, respectful and responsible. I want them to remember all the effort I put into my work and remember me as a caring
