Having an Education is more than a achievement to me, it is "the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world". This quote by Nelson Mandela speaks volumes, because with an education, as a world we can break down a lot of barriers. Everyday when I wake up to attend college, it's a blessing, because I know that not many people have that opportunity. Everyday, I'm one step closer to achieving my dream of becoming a physical therapist, and learning something that would stick with me for the rest of my life, and also using what I have learned to help others in my community. I believe having an education not only gives you the opportunity of obtaining a well paying job, but also, equality, happiness, self- dependency and peace. Moreover, I witness this first hand how valuable education was, when I took part in this program, Jumpstart: Children first. This program gave me the opportunity to gain social skills and work in a group with like minded people who also shared the same vision, the importance of education. Not only did we help children develop the language and literacy skills they need to be kindergarten ready, but we also inspired them to want to strive for higher success. Even though that may seem like a lot of pressure on a pre-schooler, but the academic success of children depends heavenly on their kindergarten readiness.
