Psychiatrists

Being a psychiatrist means you’ll be working in the medical field. Psychiatrists focus on patients who have different mental issues. They research and identify emotional patterns. They will also test for patterns in behavior that will help identify or predict something that might be going wrong. Some work conditions you would have to get used to would be; spending most of your shift on your feet and be able to work with violent, uncooperative patients. They also work with patients who vary from the ages under 18 to over 30. Sometimes psychiatrists work with teachers, paediatricians, the patients siblings or others involved with the person facing difficulties, instead of going directly to the patient. After you have taken that course, you can start working in a medical school. Then medical school will take you to studies in practice psychiatry. You will also need a Bachelor’s degree. The association of American Medical Colleges indicated that medical schools now require applicants to go through course works in fields such as organic chemistry, physics and other courses such as liberal and human disciplines. Then you will need to be licensed. Psychiatrists can also earn a certification in general psychiatry or choose a subspecialty. Job growth has increased, but not by much. Between 2004 and 2014, the number of physician and psychiatrists jobs have grown up to fourteen percent. This field has also been expected to grow faster than other fields. Many of these are because of technology. Technology has affected psychiatrists the most since 2013. One way technology had helped is by providing patients with prescribed medications online. There are now apps for a patient to use when trying to get a hold of their prescriptions. Using technology in your office also helps with being able to diagnose issues faster. Another type of technology that changed the job of psychologists are brain scans. These help by showing parts of the brain in which a child could be having issues. Technology advances have completely changed how psychiatrists work. Some closely related occupations are being a sociologist, guidance counselor, employment agent. Some similar activities that will help with skills in this job are; being a helper in school, helping out or being oan out of school educator. These jobs all have or share the same characteristics. Being a psychiatrists also works with being able to talk to children and you also need to be patient. You will also need to be able to understand younger and older ages. Afterall you are trying to help someone. These are responsibilities that you will have to take when trying to become or work as a
