As a child I always believed that I was different than the other kids. I still have this belief, while I am approaching my adult life. Most everyone else seems to have no idea what they want to do with their lives or they only want to choose the career that they think will make them the most money or that would be the most fun. My desire is to have a career that will improve people’s lives and can help me make a difference in the world. I know that I can do this best through the mechanical engineering field. While going into this career field will provide a large income, I am not going into it for this reason alone. My goal is to provide the most value out of my work and myself in my career so that I can have the most substantial impact as possible. …show more content…

As I aged I showed interest in multiple different areas, but I eventually found that engineering came easy to me. After taking the basic engineering courses my school provided I found that specifically mechanical engineering is the one that intrigued and excited me the most. While taking these courses the one thing that let me know that this career field is the one I was meant to pursue is seeing the engineer's mindset. Most of the other students that did not move on to the next course seemed to not think the same way as I did; this is even more evident in all of my other classes. This has become solidified further in my internship at Oseco; when working with the non-engineers it’s as if I were with an entirely different culture than when I go and work with the engineers on that site. Engineers seem to see and interpret the world in a different way than others and I relate to their thought
