For all my life, I have been involved in many different activities, both inside and out of school. For the majority of my life, I have been involved in Debate, Model UN, and Saskatchewan Model UN. Through years of experience, I have been able to strengthen my public speaking, and it has been something I love to do. I enjoy communicating and working together with others. Due to my experience so far in the IB diploma, I know how to manage my time wisely, while still maintaining a strong work ethic. I am a devoted person, meaning I do not give up when I have issues solving problems, as shown through my years of piano. The IB programme is a program that prides itself on creativity, and with it, I have been able to develop creative thinking skills. I am able to view things in a different way and find creative solutions to issues, that might not have been thought of previously. I speak with the people I represent regularly in both my student representative council and my two Model UN organizations, as I serve as their voice. I believe it is crucial to discuss issues with individuals who are not on the board, as in order for an organization to run smoothly, you must develop a relationship of trust and belonging, as well as establishing communications between each other. Through my experiences, both in, and outside of Guiding, I believe I can represent a group not always represented, and bring a fresh and different perspective to the Youth Council, offering solutions and views not always represented or thought of. I have been in Girl Guides since I was five; I have a knowledgeable understanding of what we do, and issues facing girls within our organization I think that my skills learned through Girl Guides would be reflected in my participation on the
