Before I talk about how my beliefs, views, and faith, I would like to touch upon how I have changed in my four years of in college. Growth would be the key word. I have grown as a person, before college I was always an introvert, a quiet and shy person in school that most people would not know unless they were in class, school activity, or a group project with me. During my time at the University of Dubuque I have found myself becoming more of an extrovert making more friends that I did in high school. I can vocalize my opinions on a regular basis in class and find myself stepping out of my shell. Especially developing myself personally and competitively. Learning ways to enhance my resume through community service, internships, and taking on leadership roles. I now do things for myself and others because it is my choice instead of doing them just because someone told me it was the right thing to do. Also, I find that my faith and religious background has guided me in my actions in daily life and moral beliefs. I try to do the right thing and take into consideration others and their beliefs. Also, I need to take ownership of my faith and future growth of it. My moral compass has helped me make decisions now and in the future not based upon what is in for me, but how can I help others to achieve the best outcome for everyone. I need to try to respect others along with their backgrounds and beliefs instead of jumping to judgment. Collaboration helps develop the best solution and productive outcome and sometimes we can agree to disagree with others. You just cannot practice your faith while church you need to live it in your daily life. Being true to yourself, family, and friends also carry over to the community and helping those in need.
