In the Christian life it is often difficult to understand the relationship one must have with the world. In my lifetime, I have come to realize that faith is the most important thing. One’s faith will ultimately decide their eternal destiny. I believe that while we are alive it is important to point people to Christ who is the savior of all men. The majority of the world is devoid of faith, most often seeking money as the primary source of fulfillment. Christians need to be active in the world to show people that true fulfillment and salvation comes through God. As I have attended college and had work experience, I have been particularly drawn to the idea of owning my own company. One of the main goals I would desire for my company is to practically help others and show them the love of Christ. I believe a business can be used for God and the furthering of His kingdom in practical ways. Learning examples of how to implement my faith in a business would be invaluable to me in my career.
The Bible tells us to be in the world, but not of the world. Learning how to be in the workforce and be a Christian can sometimes be a serious challenge. Through my study in Business Ethics, I learned that it is vitally important for business men and women to not leave their faith at home, but use their faith and the Bible to help make tough decisions. People are caught up in the desire to make more so they can find fulfillment. Sadly, most of these people eventually realize that what they have worked so hard for is meaningless. Faith-filled individuals are needed in businesses to help guide people to true fulfillment, which only comes through Jesus. Christians need to be at work in companies not only performing their job excellently, but leading those around them to a higher purpose.
