Needless to say, in understanding the perspective of Packer and Ryrie, one would considered the process of recruiting opened to all who believe God has called them to serve in the evangelistic ministry.
According to Aubrey Malphurs, success is dependent on leadership that understands what it is doing and is capable of doing it.11 He states, “One must resist soliciting people who are merely willing to sit on the team.”12 Therefore, based on Malphurs perspective, one would come to realize, followers or leaders who are faithful and willing servants are not necessarily capable of leading or following, in a manner that accomplishes the vision of the evangelistic ministry.
Essentially, the motives of an evangelistic ministry member, must first demonstrate the love of God and concern for His glory; and second, is love of humankind and concern for the welfare of his well-being.13 …show more content…

Although, this remains true, additionally, there remain eight basic qualities of behavior, a team member must demonstrate. The ministry team member must find it imperative to follow Jesus Christ first and work in this manner. At the same time, he or she must follow the guidelines offered by author, Bob Crossman.
