Math is something that I have always had a passion for. Ever since I was young, I have excelled in the subject. The interest I have in math stemmed from the interest in the history of math. I have always found it interesting how great mathematicians like Newton and Libbinitz have come up with such theorems and ideas. Even in grade school, math class was something that I looked forward to every day. Because of that, in high school I have pushed myself in math more than any other subject. I will graduate with more credits of math then I will of any other subject. That is because math is one of the most important skills for college and beyond. As for I am attending college to be an engineer, math is something that I will use in my everyday life when I graduate. This is not …show more content…
After high school, I will be attending Milwaukee School of Engineering to get a degree in Mechanical Engineering. I wanted to become an engineer because I wanted to make change in the world. As an engineer I will have the opportunities to create something or make something better that will help people or the world as a whole. In addition, I am using skills (like math or science) that I love everyday. After I graduate college, I hope to pursue my dream of making the world a better place. Within the mechanical engineering field I would like to work with energy. I want to bring more renewable energy sources to the United States and hopefully find a cheaper way to do so. By working with energy I hope that I am able to help people and the country. The mathematical backing that Kimberly High School has given me is going to help me greatly. The teachers and coaches at KHS hold the same qualities that Jim Bohne had. They have put the interest of me first and that has made me grow and develop as a person. Although Mr. Bohne is no longer with us, the values he brought to Kimberly are still being felt by every student
