I have taken several steps to pursue my aspirations in life. Beginning in the classroom, I have applied myself by taking many of the hardest classes offered at my high school, including AP, PLTW, dual enrollment, and Scott Community College classes. I have taken all this classes while still maintaining a 3.962 unweighted gpa and being in the top five percent of my class. These efforts in school will help me to pursue my future career aspirations of engineering in the field of renewable energies. By gaining a solid foundation in the fields of math, science, engineering, I believe I have prepared myself to pursue my aspirations of a college education and degree. In addition to being a two year national honor society member, I have performed many acts of community service in my local area. These hours of service have helped me to see the effects of volunteer work and helped me to feel the positive impacts I can make in my community. During my freshman year, I was able to see firsthand the effects of volunteering and community aid to help others during my mission to trip to Denver, Colorado. The trip emphasized the aid of citizens in Denver living in large amounts of poverty or homeless. The warm smiles and appreciation they showed for our group’s aid forever changed my views on helping others. Since then, I have devoted myself to serving others at every opportunity and preparing myself to be a serving citizens for those in need. This mission trip helped to me to see how I could achieve my aspiration of being a good and caring
