My reason for applying for this position is that when working as an apprentice within the Employability and Enterprise Department I worked a lot on the help desk within theinfospace. This gave me a lot of confidence as well as customer service skills. I am a hard worker and I like to go the extra mile to help. I work well within a team but also individually and I feel that this is essential with this Help Desk Assistant Role.
I believe that I can act as part of theinfospace team, providing services to students, staff and the public. I have worked on theinfospace help desk throughout my time as an apprentice and have provided good customer service in person, on the phone and also responded to emails. When working in theinfospace I helped students with their UCAS applications and have also given support to students who need it in terms of progression.
It is important to me that the workplace is tidy, clean and safe. When beginning my time as an Apprentice I made sure that all of the brochures which we have for other Colleges were up to date. If they were not I called the College to get up to date brochures sent to the College. I have helped run workshops on theworkspace and their main job is to provide support for students looking for work experience and staff members looking for guest speakers.
I have worked many events at the college including Open Days and Information Events and this helped me improve my customer service skills. I am flexible and willing to work evenings and weekends when required. Working on the main reception within City College Plymouth also gave me a lot of customer service skills and the ability to use initiative to help the students, staff and potential
