I believe the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Science, and the Arts is the right place to continue my studies, because I love how the classes are based on the U of A academic system and that ASMSA offers an opportunity to obtain advanced college level knowledge before high school graduation. That being said, ASMSA still has a college life atmosphere which I think prepares the students to be more adjusted to what real college will be like. I also enjoy the fact that your professors are eager to help at almost any given time. On top of that, ASMSA will teach me viable skills like researching skills, time management skills, and self-discipline, also it will give me the great privilege of graduating with at least 30 concurrent hours which will

There are about 205,000 people who work as a nurse practitioner in the US. I do not know about you, but I would like to make the number increase up to 205,001. For many young girls, like myself, want to help save lives and we don’t even have to save their life but just help them. This is why a nurse practitioner would be the best job too have. They don’t do major surgeries or anything like that but they do help just enough to keep someone healthy.
I am currently working as an LPN rooming patients in an OB/GYN clinic. My job includes taking vitals, updating medical records as necessary, preparing exam rooms for the providers, administering injections and medications per order, and recording signs and symptoms for the providers. I work along side the providers and midwives assisting with procedures. I place OB patients on the non-stress testing machines and educate patients on topics such as breastfeeding, maintaining a healthy pregnancy, etc. Working here, I 've been able to witness many situations that drive me to want to succeed as a doctor, such as being able to assist patients who are in active labor or empowering patients to take better care of their health.
My love of the healthcare world began at very early age. I was always so fascinated by how the human body worked and the healthcare workers who would fix it when it broke. when I was about 5 years old and saw a toy doctors kit and knew I had to have it. Hours spent honing my doctoring skills with my favorite doll as my star patient. Even after over a decade in the medical field that love and curiosity for medicine never wavered.
I am not just interested in becoming a Physician Assistant; I dream of, and am driven to become one. I have been fascinated by the medical field as long as I can remember. I had the opportunity to begin scribing for a physician and absolutely loved the patient interaction, the variety of duties that had to be accomplished and the fact that for some people a fifteen to twenty minute appointment may seem insignificant in the grand scheme of a day or life, but to those who were being seen, their lives are instantly changed for the better. I learned such a vast amount of knowledge every single day I worked there. I grew to love the medical field more and more and am confident I was meant to work my hardest to be able to provide care to patients as my life occupation; specifically rural areas like the one I grew up in.
I wish not to base my level of successfulness on the amount of money I earn or receive, but on the amount of heart I give to others and my work. Over the next thirty years my success will be reflected by a number of significant milestones that will lead me into a career in the music industry. The hard work and values my Ghanaian immigrant parents instilled in me has led to my academic success as I was constantly reminded of the value of education. Pushed to do better everyday, my parents were successfully able to build up a strong work ethic in me.
For the past 18 years I wanted to do something practical and respected. Belonging to the model minority emphasized that belief even more. Due to those factors, I wanted to be an otolaryngologist specializing in laryngology. I thought this way I could get somewhat close to my passion of singing while raking in the prestige and cash. So then I decided to apply to schools with strong pre-med programs, but I also kept in mind my love for music, resulting in me applying to numerous liberal arts colleges.
I want to be a physician because I want people to grow old. At the age of 6, one of my closest friends was diagnosed with leukemia. By age 8, the disease claimed his life, robbing him of the opportunity to experience the privilege of growing old. Unfortunately, we live in a society of vanity. We see the process of aging and choose not to embrace it.
Personal Statement for NQT Year I have been lucky enough to have been taught by some truly inspirational teachers and am aware of the effect they have had on my life and the choices I have made subsequently. My passion for helping and supporting those whose economic and financial standings have hindered their growth in our society, has driven me towards social work. I feel I have exhausted every possible avenue in my current degree field. Pursuing a master’s in Social Work, will give me the diversity that I need, while aiding me in bringing my dreams of working more in depth with clients, by helping assist them with their individual needs and issues to reality. The Social work field also offers versatility which allows me to work in many dimensions, such as clinical, case management, and many other composites which enables me to help every population. Social work is a career that I have recently become interested in pursuing. I spent many years with misconceptions concerning the sector. However, following three years of working close by these experts, I have picked up a more profound comprehension of the significance of the work. I am especially interested in working in child welfare along with terminally ill children. I have got to a stage in my career where I have started to search out instruction that will make me more efficient in creating plans and providing services for vulnerable people.
