Award winning novelist Chuck Palahniuk once said: “We all die. The goal isn’t to live forever, the goal is to create something that will.” This is precisely what I plan to do. As a single mother of two this certainly is no easy task. Believe me I know. I attended Franklin University and obtained my bachelor’s degree while working a full-time job and dealing with life’s obstacles. When I walked across that stage and was handed my degree, it was the greatest feeling of accomplishment I’ve ever felt. I have been working at the Franklin County Municipal Court Clerk’s Office as a Deputy Clerk for thirteen years. During my time in the Clerk’s Office I’ve branded myself, making myself known as the person with a good work ethic, the person who is knowledgeable and most importantly the individual with a good attitude. In fact, I’ve received several awards for outstanding customer service and exhibiting a positive attitude at work and in life. I also put together a strategic training course on employee morale which I was able to teach to a group of my peers. …show more content…

I always dreamed of being the owner of a big company, I never liked working for other people much. I have my own ideas and dreams, big dreams. I guess I’m a bit bossy, strong willed, and stubborn. I’ve heard all of these adjectives used to describe me at some point in my life. However, these are all attributes that could also describe a successful business owner. I want to start a reputable bail bonding company. As an employee of the court I’ve seen the bail bonding industry go from helping those in need to helping themselves. I’ve witnessed fist fights inside the courthouse between bonding agents over who will get bonds, had bonding agents argue with me over who posted bonds and even witnessed court trials for bonding agents who tried to manipulate the
