My high school experiences, obstacles, and accomplishments (rephrase) has prepared me for college (rephrase). As a student in the Honors Program, I was required to take additional courses (as a honor’s requirements). Therefore, my course workload was more, but I learned how to manage and complete my work in a timely manner, while working part-time. Learning how to manage my school, work, and personal life in high school will contribute to my academic success at UL Lafayette and has prepared me for college. This is because I am already aware of how to balance my responsibilities. In addition, I was involved in activities outside of school and in school, while performing well academically. I was a member of Cheer Force for 2 consecutive years, which is all-star competitive cheer organization. Although, during my freshmen year I experienced (another word) poor performance due to the transitioning from middle school to high school, I turned this around (say different way) by utilizing the resources that were available to me to help me learn how to better perform in school. My poor performance was also due to prior to entering high school, I was unsure of how to study and retain information. However, with the help of my teacher, school counselor, and tutoring I was able to improve my grades. Overall, my educational experiences and mishaps (another word?) has ultimately prepared me for school and will contribute to my academic success at UL
