Throughout my high school years, I have participated in numerous extracurricular activities in my school and my community. At my school, I have been a member of the National Honor Society during my junior and senior year. Through this organization, I did multiple service projects for my school. I sang in my schools chorus in my freshman and sophomore year. I was a member of my schools Interact Club in ninth, tenth, and eleventh grade. This club did many service projects in the community that I was able to be a part of. In my junior year, I participated in TEAM Engineering. With this club, a small select group of students went to another local high school to compete with other schools in an engineering contest.
During my senior year, I volunteered at the San Juan Bautista Catholic Church day care. In the summer of 2015 I spent a week volunteering at Hands on House summer camp. I have had several jobs throughout high school. One summer I worked at the Strasburg Creamery. Another summer I was a lifeguard at two different pools. I have taken cello lessons since fourth grade and I love it. I play my cello in a music ensemble at my church every month. Since fourth grade I have participated in my school orchestra. It has given me leadership opportunities. As first chair in the cello section, I help the younger students learn the music and tune their instruments. My sophomore year I was a member of a small chamber group. During my sophomore and senior year I was a member of the PIT orchestra, which plays the music for our school musical. In my junior year I was a member of the Tri-M Music Honor Society. In my senior year, I ran for the officer position of treasurer and I got the position. During my time as an officer, I had to go above and beyond the role of treasurer in organizing our Induction Ceremony and various trips the club
