Background Information
Definition - Animal testing, animal experimentation or animal research refers to the experimentation carried out on animals (Murnaghan, 2018, February 23).
For decades, sentient animals had been used for testing or researches. These animals are forced to live a miserable life even though they do not deserve this.
In the United States somewhere between 14 to 16 million animals are used in biomedical research each year (Shanks & Green, 2004) however, in European Union (EU) 11.6 million animals are utilized for experimental or scientific purposes (Donnellan, 2006).

Most of the researchers argue that animals testing is justifiable and claims that animals should be used in testing so that it can alleviate human suffering by finding cure for human diseases, animals have no rights, and can be used in cosmetics and household items’ experiments.
C. Thesis Statement
The aim of the paper is to argue that animals testing cannot be justifiable because animal testing can lead to a bad science and there are alternatives available, animals have rights and should not be used in painful experiments, and the results of the researches can be wasteful and unreliable.

However, in order to take the animal to the laboratory for experiments it involve removing an animal from its natural habitat. Keeping animals in cages can make them feel lonely, inhibit movement, causing cramp and sores, as well as boredom, frustration and other forms of suffering. Moreover, injecting or giving particular substance to eat can distress and scare the animals (Cochrane, 2007).
C. Refuting Opponents’ Arguments
i) Cons - Animals can be used in cosmetics and household items’ experiments
 Although the animals genes and humans’ genes are not similar it will still suffice for research to use on tests and see how beauty and household products would work on people to mitigate human risks. It only tests animals that are a close to humans in a biological sense ("12 Advantages and Disadvantages of Animal Testing On Cosmetics," 2016, February 06)

 The low-volume rabbit eye test gave a closer correlation with the human data than did any of the other animal tests (Freeberg, Griffith, Bruce, & Bay, 1984). ii) Refute - Animals testing can be wasteful and
