Imagine yourself caged, maltreated, and cruelly abused. How would you feel? This, my friends, is what many animals feel when they are put in research labs to be tested on medications and beauty products. Animals should not be used for scientific research because it is animal cruelty, it puts animals at risk, and animals suffer just like humans. To begin with, testing on animals is animal cruelty. According to animal-testing.procon.org, “Discriminating against animals because they do not have the cognitive ability, language, or moral judgment that humans do is no more justifiable than discriminating against human beings with severe mental impairments.” This explains that animals don’t have the same characteristics and features as humans have.
