Persuasive Essay On Animal Testing

544 Words3 Pages

Throughout the years, science and medicine have been advancing. Today people use medicine that breaks a fever, cures a headache and even stops a rash. But no one thinks about how someone perfected that. The answer is that they tested it on animals countless times. Animals should not be treated this way and this kind of behavior is unethical and should not be used. When people take medicine they don’t ask themselves how the scientist came up with this or how they perfected it. The truth is that no one thinks about this. Scientist come up with these crazy ideas that might help people get through their daily lives. But before they can release it to the general public, they have to test it to see if it has any other unintended consequences. There are many different types of alternatives to animal testing. There is the vitro test method, which is just models of human cell and tissues that is monitored in a test tube. There are also computer models and simulations. But people say that using computer models and test tube simulations aren’t as accurate as using real test subjects. But since using a human test subject is unethical then animals are the next most reasonable thing. But they don’t know that a lot of things today are done by computers and are done very accurately. Most computers that are like a supercomputer are almost never wrong. It is also known that using the other alternatives are more cost efficient so why not use that instead. We spend millions of dollars to get all these animals and test them when we could spend half of that on the other alternatives. It doesn’t cost much to get some samples of human tissue and cells so why not do
