Some say a person´s bond with their beloved pet is unbreakable. American people, in fact, everyone, has had an emotional connection to animals since the beginning of time. The relationship between these two living beings will never cease to exist, but has varied throughout history as we know it. Animals have aided people for centuries, as they regulate ecosystems, provide food, assist with labor, and generally lift humans up when in need of extra care. If animals tend to be so reliable, why do humans continue to degrade them by disregarding the one thing they both happen to share? The ability to feel pain. Neurologically speaking, all living creatures are capable of enduring only so much physical hardships, but this is what many humans fail to regard when dealing with these beings. They have endured situations such as dying for people's consumption, being used and abused for clothing items, and have been experimented with for medical research.
