For years the practice of adoption has become more popular among people. However, in recent years people have questioned the ability to raise a child of families of the same sex, but the reality is that there is no proof they are not capable. Families of the same sex should be allowed to adopt because there are millions of kids around the world who needs the love and support that these people are willing to give.
According to studies made by the institution of UNICEF (United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund) there are around 140 to 210 millions of kids around the world who are orphans and every day there are 5,760 more. Approximately 250,000 children are adopted annually, but each year 14,505,000 children grow up as orphans and are kicked out due to the system. Orphan kids around the world suffers because of the lack of a family and there are people who really wants to give them one but they can not do it all because of their sexual preferences and the judgment of society. According to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, article 2, “'Everyone is entitled to the same rights without discrimination of any kind”, so if this is true then families of the same sex should have the same right as any other family to adopt and raise a child. According to The Sydney Morning Herald, only 50,000 of the 120,000 children available for adoption in recent years have found families qho wanted to adopt them. Nevertheless, groups against gay adoption whant to reduce the number of available homes based on false perception and unfounded evidence about gay
