Marijuana Should Be Legalized
For a long time, people have been discussing legalizing marijuana for medicinal or recreational uses. Whether it is legal or not, people can see or smell it everywhere in the United States. Particularly, many young people want to use marijuana, and the demand is increasing explosively. Due to that, some states have considered legalizing marijuana. Until now, according to Michelle Johnson, a journalist based in Indianapolis, sixteen states have legalized marijuana for medicinal purposes. Of them, Colorado and Washington State legalized it for recreational and medicinal uses. Then, Colorado opened retail stores since January 1, 2014 (Johnson). Hence, the opponents have to stop opposing legalizing marijuana. If they want to keep their minds, they also have to prohibit using alcohol and cigarettes because those also have caused many problems like what the opponents have claimed about using cannabis. However, people have handled appropriately using them. Likewise, they can control using weed properly. Thus, marijuana should be legal, and then many citizens can get benefits from the advantages of marijuana like in Colorado State.
