For a drug with the purpose of relieving stress and granting enjoyment, Marijuana has been the cause of maddening debate and division over the past few years. Tons of research has been done in the hopes that we could put this argument to rest but neither side has been able to make up their minds. Despite what it may seem, we actually have enough information to reach a permanent decision on the verdict of legalizing marijuana. While there is no doubt that the drug has claimed lives over the years, legal drugs such as alcohol have claimed just as many lives. As for addiction, research and statistics have shown that out of the estimated 22.2 million users only 1 out of 10 users actually get addicted (Marijuana’s.)
