Alcohol can kill. marijuana can’t. You can not die from marijuana. Overdosing on this substance is impossible. Marijuana alone can’t kill you but can cause harm and cigarettes are designed to be more addictive and to cause more harm to your body. It’s legal and does more overall damage than marijuana. Marijuana is an addictive substance that can make someone very addictive on this substance if overused. Marijuana should be legal because it creates overall less damage than cigarettes and doesn't take lives like alcohol.
If marijuana was legalized, it would give a huge boost to the economy. Marijuana would make the United States millions of dollars each year. Many states would also be able to make a huge profit by putting a marijuana tax, how all states that have legalized recreational marijuana. For example, in the state of California, anytime you buy marijuana there is a 15% tax fee. The United States of America would be able to gain a huge interest and would increase their tax revenue by making recreational marijuana legal. DUI’s have affected Millions of people all over the world and it’s still a huge problem till this day. “Studies show that drivers under the influence of marijuana tend to be more cautious and take fewer risks than drunk drivers, such as making fewer lane changes and reducing speed.” In states that have legalized recreational Marijuana DUI’s has dropped 11%. If every state made Marijuana legal, then deaths would decrease to around 9,420.65 deaths each year.
