The legalization of marijuana has been a big topic for the last couple of years and has been seeing a lot of attention in recent times. A lot of people want marijuana to legal even though they don't know the long time effects of it and though they aren't major, they should be known by everyone taking the drug. We could see marijuana becoming legal in the near future but we first need to understand what all of the controversy is about. Marijuana is the dried flowers of the plant called Cannabis. Many people would agree that marijuana is such a hot topic because of these apposing standpoints. Some people say it’s the worst thing ever while other say it’s practically harmless. Yes, there is a reason for marijuana being legal and the government obviously has it locked down for now. The main reason why it’s not legal is because it can be harmful for the body and could also be addictive. Now you might be thinking “If marijuana is illegal because it damages the body then why isn’t alcohol also illegal?” and that’s a very good point to bring up. People see alcohol as an acceptable thing
