In this world today, marijuana is used in my different states but is also not legal in many other states yet. Some places the people know the benefits of weed; the places that weed is legalized in; and there are some places that don’t. The following states are where marijuana is legal Washington State, Oregon, Colorado.
There are people all over this state of Texas that believe that weed should be legalized for many reasons, the first and most basic one is that is no good reason for it to be legal. People all over always ask the question “why should weed be legalized?” but the question that should be asked is “why should weed be illegal?” Plus, there would be some many more less people in jail due to going in there for weed, and if you ask me i believe if it gets legalized that there could be less gang fights. I’m not sure why exactly why the people want marijuana to stay illegal but from what I found is that they don’t think that it meets the medicine standards. Furthermore, they also think that it will jeopardize the youth and will soon become the “big tobacco” and what they mean by this is that the legalization is bound to be controlled by big, for-profit corporations.
In my opinion I think that marijuana should be legal for many reasons. For one, if we were to legalize marijuana recreational it would save us 13.7 billion dollars a year, so therefore, the United States would easily be out of debt. Also it would lower the crime rate down and the profit to the economy would increase,and this would leave the cops less petty charges and waste of time so they can actually focus on more serious and it would be more room in the federal jail houses for the convicts that actually deserve to be
